Destination Wedding, a photographers dream job, this was mine…
Jordan is my nephew, he arrived alot earlier than his siblings and my own children, due to this he is now a big grown up living abroad with a beautiful girl Nichola, they fell in love here in NZ, and over a course of 6 years they travelled the world working and living before deciding to marry in Nic’s hometown of Harpenden/St Albans in the UK, my chance to go back to the UK after 20 years where I had lived for my OE had arrived and I jumped at it! I was asked to be their photographer and for that I will be eternally grateful, the experience was one I will never forget, the wedding was beyond beautiful and my job was easy, but the real treat was finally meeting Nic’s family, seeing her beautiful homeland and spending time as a big combined family, Jordan sent out many NZ invites, I think he expected a 50% return on attendees, he got 100%, (including all his college friends from Aquinas), so I guess you can imagine, the few weeks surrounding the wedding were pretty darn spesh. I hope one day to return to Harpenden to spend time here again, it feels a little bit like a part of us all here in NZ who came to the wedding…thankyou to Nic and Jordan & to my sister who let me tag along with her family and to Nics family (and the copious amounts of cups of tea!)
